We are proud to have been a key development partner in two recent pipe support innovations together with Aker Solutions—each designed to improve functionality, efficiency, and system integration in demanding industrial environments.
The new hinged clamped shoe was developed to better accommodate piping insulation. Our contributions included supporting design development, strength testing of the hinge, implementing a slot for fastening insulation strips, and optimizing the bolt arrangement. The result is a highly functional support solution that simplifies insulation work without compromising strength or integrity.
In a parallel effort, we were also heavily involved in the creation of a completely new pipe shoe design, available in both clamped and welded versions, featuring integrated acoustic dampening. By incorporating damping directly into the shoe, this design allows for the use of standard line guides and line stops, reducing complexity and enhancing installation flexibility. Our role spanned concept development, material considerations, and manufacturability guidance.
